Food Resources - Summer 2020

  1. Free Summer Meals, funded by the USDA, are available to kids and teens ages 18 and younger at summer meal sites across New York State. Visit http://www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks or call 1-866-3-HUNGRY or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (for Spanish) Monday through Friday (7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET) to find a summer meal site near you.

  3. For those Putnam County households, with school-aged children who qualify for free or reduced lunch, that sign up we will deliver food, books and activities on Thursdays weekly through August 27. Visit www.uwwp.org/food 
  4. Second Chance Foods will distribute food from Gilead Church at 9 Church St Carmel, NY from 9am-10am every Monday.  Boxes will have groceries, as well as some prepared foods such as meatloaf, chicken Parmesan, soups, chilis, salads, etc. YOU MUST REGISTER for proper planning .  Visit http://secondchancefoods.org/volunteer and click on the “Sign up to volunteer” button., then "Free Summer Meals & Groceries.  When registering, please enter your first name only to protect your privacy.
