• Kindergarten Registration--March 15 & 16, 2017

    9:30am to 11:30am.

    Registration for kindergarten students who will be entering Carmel schools in September 2017 will be held at the school the child will attend (Kent Primary School, Kent Elementary School, Matthew Paterson Elementary School).  Children who will be five years old on or before December 1, 2017 are eligible to register for September classes. Parents are asked to bring the child's original birth certificate, immunization records and two proofs of residency. Please call the school your child will attend for questions.

    March 15 for families with last names beginning with A-L

    March 16 for families with last names beginning M-Z

Attendance Procedures

Parents/guardians will no longer call to report student absences.  Every parent/guardian will receive an attendance call when their child has been marked absent.  The parent/guardian will then be asked to send a written documentation of the reason for the absence with their child when they return to school. 

  • GFMS students will give the note to their homeroom teacher
  • Elementary students will give the note to their teacher

For Carmel High School:

  • Please send all attendance notes to the Main Office by the end of 1st period the day the student returns to school.
  • All early dismissal notes need to be submitted to the Main Office by the end of 1st period on the day of the early dismissal.
  • Late arrival notes should also be brought to the Main Office as soon as the student enters the building.
