High School Forensics Students Visit Police Canine Training Facility

Students get a tour of the facility
Carmel High School students in Mrs. Romanovsky and Mrs. Molino’s Forensics classes had the opportunity to visit the MTA Police Department's Canine Training Facility in Stormville through a recent field trip.

The facility is used by the department to train K-9 officer dogs to detect explosives in a variety of environments and conditions, as well as prepare them for future police missions. Students met with MTA officers and trainers to learn about the agency, receive a tour of the state-of-the-art facility, and witness agility and obedience demonstrations by the dogs and their handlers!
