Eighth Grade Students Dress for Culinary Success

Dressed for culinary success!

Students wear aprons they created

Eighth-grade Family and Consumer Science students at George Fischer Middle School recently put the final touches on their chef's apron projects, making sure no thread was out of place! As part of a recent sewing unit, our students learned proper pinning techniques and use of the in-class sewing machines before letting their creativity flow with their designs.

“They complete the whole design element themselves,” said teacher Alice Holzmann. “It’s design, it’s math, it’s reading – a bit of everything.”

We tip our (chef’s) hat to our students on a job well done!
