GREASE is the Word!
Indeed, for the George Fischer Middle School Drama Club students who will be performing “Grease: School Version” at the end of January, Grease has been the word for months.
Since October, 47 actors and dozen or so crew members have been busy singing, dancing, acting and building sets to bring this beloved rock and roll musical to the Carmel schools.
The Drama Club will present “Grease: School Version” on Friday, January 24 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, January 25 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
You can purchase tickets in advance online for $18. Tickets at the door will be $20 and cash only.
“Theater empowers kids to express themselves, gain confidence, and uncover their unique voice within a supportive and creative environment,” said Christine DiTota-Co-Advisor and Director. “It fosters teamwork, empathy and resilience, while igniting their imagination and equipping them with skills that empower them to shine both on stage and in all aspects of life.”
The GFMS Drama Club’s production is run by dedicated community members: In addition to DiTota, Maureen Pio is Co-Advisor, Producer and Stage Manager; Aja Broderson is Music Director; and Chistine Gavin is choreographer.
