Making Musical Connections in Middle School

Recently, district fourth-grade students made some important connections with the Music Department at George Fischer Middle School, where they will be attending in the fall!

The annual information session and musical performance introduces the different musical paths available to the students when they enter middle school. As the soon-to-be middle school students begin planning their schedule for next year, they will have the opportunity to follow a musical path, or two, by joining the band, orchestra or chorus ensembles.

During the presentation and performance, the students were introduced to the ensembles, instruments and music teachers, and were treated to a musical showcase from their sixth-grade peers. The music department teachers will be visiting each elementary school in March for an additional in-depth information session, where they will individually showcase each instrument available for students to choose from!
