Kent Elementary First Grade Celebrates Reading with Assemblyman Kevin Byrne

First-grade students at Kent Elementary School recently had a special guest reader in class, Assemblyman Kevin Byrne, to continue our Read Across America celebrations.

Assemblyman Byrne, a former Kent Elementary student, read "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover" by Lucille Colandro to Mrs. Feliciotto's class and "How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow" by Monica Sweeney to Mrs. Cutler's class. He also recalled some fond memories of his time in the building and on the playground and shared them with our students.
