Important Update

Dear GFMS Families,

We are writing to inform you of an important schedule change that will take effect beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

Starting this school year, GFMS will have a new arrival and dismissal schedule, with a 20-minute adjustment to both the beginning and end of the school day. Our new daily schedule will be:

• Bus Drop-Off: Between 8:00am and 8:05 am this is still TBD. 
• Period 1 Begins: 8:15 a.m.
• Dismissal: 2:47 p.m.
• Buses Depart: 2:56 p.m.

We wanted to share this information as early and as often as possible, so families have ample time to plan for this change.

This adjustment is being made in conjunction with the high school's implementation of a new block schedule. One of our primary goals is to ensure that our middle school students continue riding on buses designated specifically for middle school students, rather than sharing transportation with high school students.
