THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE USING YOUR OWN PERSONAL DEVICE AND IT HAS THE LATEST VERSION OF Apple iOS.  THESE INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT APPLY TO DISTRICT OWNED DEVICES.

** NOTE **  Apple has implemented a service called iCloud Private Relay that is incompatible with out BYOD network.  If you have this feature enabled, you will experience issues while connected to CCSD-BYOD.  To disable this feature (please note, this could make your device less secure), please follow the instructions found here

First Time MacOS Login – These steps must be done the first time you are logging into the CCSD-BYOD Network.  Once your device remembers the CCSD-BYOD network you do not have to follow these steps.

  1. Open WiFi Settings
  2. In the WiFi network list, click on CCSD-BYOD

A screenshot shows a Wi-Fi network selection menu with several available networks listed.

  1. Enter your username (without @students.carmelschools.org or @carmelschools.org) and password and click "Join."
  2. Click "Continue" on the Verify Certificate pop-up window.

A 'Verify Certificate' dialog box prompts authentication for network '1234-ABCD'.

Daily MacOS Login - The following steps will need to be performed each day that your device connects to the CCSD-BYOD network.

  1. Once your device is connected to the CCSD-BYOD network, follow the prompt in the Captive Portal window that launches.

A computer screen displays a welcome message for the CCBD BYOD Network with installation options.

NOTE:  It is strongly advised that you install the Securly certificate on your device to ensure you have the best possible internet experience. Clicking the button next to "Install the Securly Certificate on Apple devices" will take you to the below page you will find the link to the certificate and instructions on how to install it.  Once the certificate has been installed, you may click "I have installed the Securly Certificate..." each day you connect to the CCSD-BYOD network.

A macOS screen displays a prompt to download a certificate, with the Securly logo at the top left.
